Epoxy Resin Countertops
Most laboratories prefer to use epoxy resin countertops because this material performs highly in the lab environment and is cost effective to fabricate. Epoxy resin has outstanding chemical resistance, excellent physical properties, and good heat and flame resistance, making it an ideal material for the majority of lab applications. Lab countertops are fabricated to custom dimensions and can be machined with cutouts and holes to accommodate items such as sinks and service fixtures. At Lab Fixtures, we provide custom chemical resistant epoxy resin countertops, short turnaround times, and highly competitive prices.
If your lab has unique requirements which call for an alternative countertop material such as phenolic resin or stainless steel, please give us a call. We supply those as well.

Epoxy resin tops are available in the following thicknesses:
Sizes
The largest available single epoxy resin piece is 98" long x 72" wide. Multiple pieces of epoxy resin can be seamed together in the field using epoxy adhesive in order to create longer or wider countertop assemblies.
Splash
Splash guards or backsplashes, are shipped as loose pieces, to be applied in the field during installation. Each order includes epoxy adhesive to affix the splash material. Splash guards are typically 4" high, but can be fabricated to any height. Splash thickness can either match the thickness of the countertops, or can be 3/4" thick regardless of countertop thickness.
Machining
Diamond tooling is used to fabricate and machine epoxy resin directly in our factories, rather than leaving the fabrication to be done by our customers in the field. The result is our customers receive a product that is ready to install and more cost effective than in-field fabrication.
Edge Finishes
The two edge finishes available for epoxy resin countertops are beveled and radius. Edge finishing is included in the price of countertops; there are no upcharges for either finish.
